“From Delegation to Multiplication”
Luke 9:7-27

Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them. – Luke 9:16-17

From delegation to multiplication. Last Sunday we saw the delegation of authority. Jesus had authority to delegate His authority to others. And that He did when He sent out the Twelve “and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.” [9:1]

That delegation will now move to multiplication. “Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude.”

It is the natural progression, and a supernatural work at its core. Notice how the delegation precedes multiplication

It only makes sense. When Jesus delegated authority to His disciples, what followed was a multiplication of Kingdom work. Added were twelve sets of hands and feet for the ministry, and twelve additional mouths to preach the Kingdom.

Delegation is usually the precursor to multiplication, a dynamic of expansion.

However, there needs to be two parts in place; a willingness to delegate and a readiness to be delegated to.

But when those components come together, multiplication is inevitable.
